Party!

Saturday, August 22, 2026

8:00 PM - 1:00 AM+

Our space is limited for the ceremony portion of the night unfortunately, so some of you received an invitation for the party after the ceremony (8:00pm). If you can't find your invitation or have questions about what time you're supposed to arrive, please reach out to us at: evaneill (at) mac.com and cctupperh (at) gmail.com.

Where

La Peña Cultural Center

3105 Shattuck Ave. Berkeley

California 94705, USA

La Peña has no parking lot, but there is street parking available. We encourage you to carpool if you're able to, or take an Uber/Lyft. Alternatively, Ashby Bart Station is three blocks away and the 18 bus stops right across the street.

This event will be completely indoors with space outside the front door to smoke or take a break. Remember to bring layers if you'll spend time outside!

FAQ's

What's the dress code?

We (bride and groom) will be dressing formally. We prioritize you feeling comfortable and beautiful, so anywhere between semi-formal/cocktail and formal is great! Don't forget to bring comfy shoes for dancing (and to not torture yourself). Also, the Bay Area gets chilly at night even in August, so bring a jacket for when you leave.

Do you have a registry?

Your love and presence is the best gift you can give us. If you'd like to also contribute to our honeymoon, you can go to our Gifts page and donate through our Venmo account. If you don't have Venmo, we will also have a gift box onsite the day-of for envelopes.

What language will the event be in?

Most of the event will be in English, with the essential parts spoken in both English and Spanish. Don't be surprised if you hear many languages and accents throughout the night, there's people coming from all over!

Can I bring my kids?

Yes, kids are absolutely welcome! This is an all-ages event and our beautiful nephews will be there –we'd love for them to have friends to play with! There is also a changing station available in one of the bathrooms.

Can I bring my pets?

No, unfortunately fur babies are not allowed inside of the building. You can bring a photo of them if you miss them too much!

When does the event end?

The party will end at 1:00am, but we can totally hang out until later in the lounge space if we still have some energy!

Are there any safety protocols?

We encourage everyone to take care of themselves and each other. If you have any cold or flu symptoms the day of the wedding, we ask you to please wear a mask. If you have any special requests or accommodation needs, let us know by contacting us at evaneill (at) mac.com and cctupperh (at) gmail.com.

What about the wedding in Chile?

Due to the current wave of anti-immigration policies in the U.S. and incompetent bureaucracy in the embassy in Santiago, we do not feel safe traveling outside of the country in the near future. This situation makes us very sad. We would still very much love to have a celebration in Chile at some point and we'll let you all know if/when that becomes possible.

I'm coming from out of town, any lodging recommendations?

On the RSVP form (5:00pm / 8:00pm), we are collecting information of people who may need lodging options to follow up with them directly. Please reply to that question when you RSVP.

Also, if you're coming from out of town and are planning on staying for a bit longer, let us know and we'll be happy to share Bay Area tips and our favorite spots to visit!

When are you going to have kids?!

Nice to see you read this far, mom and dad! We love you and we'll see you at the wedding.
